Pertentus began to pay more attention to the matter when several more had gone missing. he took it upon himself to single highhandedly resolve the issue. Going out of his way and without the Senate's approval, He funded several Religious expenditures for the townspeople of the area. Pertentus was hellbent on receiving the favor of the Gods once more, and was determined to do anything it took to return the town's profitable resources back to the Homeland.
