Without any further news from the Senate, the townsfolk had decide within themselves that they would expand their farms, mines, and towns to make up for the rising demand. They began to construct more permanent buildings of stone, as well as temples for those that wished to pray to their gods. There was one god in particular that had gained more influence and popularity over time by these miners. Phaedron, the god of Darkness, began to take root in Elpida and soon grew across the entire colony. There was little to be discussed as to the reason of such an outburst, for the poor and hungry within Elpida's populace had risen, as did the higher class' wealth. It was only natural, as many have argued, that the poor began to become thieves, attempting to gain some wealth that they felt was theirs. However, this was but a fraction of Elpida, and has not grown much in recent years.
