As he grew up, he became aware of social inequality and injustice in society, being frustrated that his family had so much while others had so little. He became more politically radical and openly argued with his family members, burning bridges and severing ties with them. Eventually the situation became dangerous as authorities became aware of his subversive nature. He left for Elpida to avoid any trouble and decided to start his life anew as a humble carpenter, leaving most of his worldly wealth behind. He has been living in Elpida for about 26 years now, having left when he was 27 years old. While he keeps his political opinions more to himself these days, he can still occasionally be heard in a tavern ranting about the inequalities of society, railing against the government and the higher classes.
