Originally designed to be a display piece. (More on this later). History: A young girl born into what could be considered a torn family. Born with 3 older brothers, two of which were only half brothers from her mothers' side and only one being true. Lennka grew up with little in the terms of great achievements or even expectations as she was born rather small. In fact, nurses often made talk and jeered of how they believed she would not even be able to walk properly let alone ever stand unaided. Disturbed by these whisperings, her mother, Anna sought to bring her newborn child home as soon as she was strong enough. And thus the struggle began. Despite the talk and dismissal of the nurses, Lennka did indeed walk... And talk. That much she could definitely do. She was somewhat different compared to any her age, size not being the main difference as she remained short in stature. No. She saw the world differently to anyone else and she dared to speak her mind whenever she saw fit which perhaps was too much as it often saw her getting into trouble though she could never quite understand why this would happen. All in all, she was always left wondering whatever she did wrong and why the world was the... Well, the way it was. Growing up, she made little if any friends, keeping only one or two close if she ever did. Lennka soon became clingy and often found herself at odds with any friends she managed to make, thus resulting in many friends lost. Her way of thinking and attitude, often saw her getting into fights though she rarely if ever won them. After much uncertainty her Father, Nicholas, admitted to having an affair and her parents split. Never having been close to her father, she undoubtedly took side with her Mother Anna. Her Father soon after disowned her, severing all ties and communications with Lennka. Frustration gave way to depression and Lennka, gave up. Ignoring school work, idling her time away and ignoring authority. Her grades suffered as did her reputation as she faded into the background, a mere ghost compared to the lives of others. She made no job, no money and thus lived with her parents until they too threw her out. With nowhere to go, she looked to the sea... That, was a mistake. Haedrick Valcross. Captain of an old ship named "Deep Reefer" took the hapless female in. Though... It was not to last. The Captain saw Lennka through rose tinted glasses and instantly fell for her, despite her refusals. Fearing she would one day leave, he imprisoned her on his ship, vowing she would one day fall for him. The ship, set sail... Somewhere in the Ocean: Lennka was cuffed at all times and forced to clean the ship and cook the food. A prisoner no doubt about it. She had thought many times of poisoning the captain but with nothing to hand capable of such, there was looking to be no way out. Her only solace, came from a short old man named Dunheim Banver. He may have even been a Dwarf but he was a gentleman no less. Whenever the guards had their back turned, he would provide Lennka with a damp cloth to clean the wounds caused by the metal cuffs on her wrists and wash her face. He expected nothing in return other than a smile which she was more than happy to give for the little act of kindness. Noting the Captain had been growing more violent, Dunheim made the decision. He had no key to turn the woman loose but gave her one thing that would be able to defend herself with. A hand-crafted, Bronze Dagger with leather handle and Iron trim. He gave her with it, the promise he would look the other way no matter what came of it and hoped she would never have to use it... Lucky thing he gave it to her... Two nights later, Captain Haedrick tried to force himself upon her. With little choice, Lennka used the dagger, which she had been hiding in her left boot the entire time and thrust it into Haedricks' throat, ending his life there and then. With the captain dead, Dunheim took charge though swiftly passed the title to Lennka, much to the dismay of the crew, many of whom left. Those who stayed, heard of the story and named her 'Captain Daggerboot'. She commanded the ship with Dunheim close beside until an illness began to ail him. A cough that gave him shivers and shook his bones. Fearing she may lose the one true friend, Lennka set sail for Elpida, having heard tales of their wonderous city from local fisherman when docking at the Mainland. Resting all her hopes, they may find someone to aid him in his time of need as he once did for her. (Best I could do for now. It's roughly 6:15am so I've probably made a fair few mistakes for which, I apologise. May also rename the ship.)
That's a preeetty indepth background story... The whole bio seems really well-written and well-formatted
