This does not mean he does not believe the gods exist, he just believes that people rely on the gods far to much. Signature item: A hammer gifted to Raymond when he was first learning his craft. Raymond Belvast was an orphan who lived on the streets growing up. Due to this upbringing Raymond was brought in with a bad crowd at an early age. To deal with some of the things that he saw and had to live through Raymond found a sort of release with fire. Whenever Raymond had any free time he would sit around and start small fires. Eventually the fires began to get bigger and bigger as he needed more of a release. One unfortunate day Raymond started a fire that he could not control and ended up catching a building on fire. Once he realized that this fire was out of control he ran away. As a few days past he heard that the fire he started ended up killing and injuring some people that were inside the building. At that point he realized that he needed to find another way to get the release that he needs. After taking a while to find a new way to get the same release that burning things was giving him, he found that nothing but fire would be enough. Weeks went by before he was able to find the answer that he needed. Raymond was walking through town and past a local blacksmith, which would end up saving him, and the town, from any more unwanted destruction. He watched the blacksmith for a few days as he worked and grew to like that fire could create beautiful works other than destroy. While watching the smith work one day Raymond decided that he would try to become an apprentice so that he could learn to create. After a long time of pestering and doing small jobs for the local smith Raymond was accepted as an apprentice and started to learn the trade.
