    -BACKGROUND-
My name is Quansian D. Atachi, I was born in a small mining village deep within' the mainland, my father was a "blacksmith" and my mother was a housewife. Growing up my family never had much money, we usually lived off of whatever my mother grew in her garden out behind our hovel. My father, who turns out was actually a soldier, claimed to be a blacksmith. But being the young one that I was I believed that he was a great blacksmith for the village who just traveled a lot. So being as a young boy does, I aspired to be just like him and trained under another blacksmith in one of the nearby villages. Which now I wonder why I never asked my dad why he didn't train me himself, which there again reinforces my thought of why I should've known he wasn't a blacksmith.
But I digress; As I continued to train with my mentor I grew within' my craft and soon I was able to craft small bladed weapons, mainly daggers and kitchen utensils, but nevertheless my mentor was proud of me. So soon thereafter he promised to make me a hammer of my own, not charging me for it at all but instead just making me promise him that i'd keep blacksmithing tradition alive and well. So then he forged me the most magnificent iron hammer he could then engraved on the side, "ductile Quansian," when I asked him what it meant he told me, "Hammer on Quansian." I thanked him then began my journey back to my home and my parents; however upon returning my childhood home had been removed and now the only thing that remains is a large field of wheat. I immediantly went to our village leader, he told me that my mother had died while I was away due to a snake bite while out gardening and my dad decided that he could no longer stay in the village after that. I asked where my father would have gone, the leader said that he had no idea, so I began thinking of where someone would go if they wanted a whole new start. Then like a hot blade over an anvil I was struck with an idea, "Elpida."

However on my way to a dock city I came across a trade caravan consisting of 2 wagons and 10 or so guards and as i was passing I saw a gray'd figure that looked like my father as one of the guards around the main wagon. I stared at him as I passed by, he looked at me with a kind of bewilderment then turned to embarrassment. At that moment a thought entered my mind of maybe my father purposely killed my mother, the thought radiated through my mind as I passed the caravan. The thought was tearing at my skull till I came to a dense forest that covered the road, so then I decided that I would ambush my "father" when the caravan passed through the dense overgrowth. So I rode my horse through and tied him to a tree on the other side of the overgrowth then I moved back into the dense, and I sat there waiting for what seemed like eternity with questions zooming through my mind when finally I heard the familiar sound of cart wheels turning. As the carts, horses, and guards moved through I grabbed the guard who looked like my father and pulled him into the denser parts of the forest. Luckily I did indeed grab the right one, and as I sat there looking at my father he turned his face down dissapoitedley and I began my barrage of questions. The first one being about what happend to my mother, my father being the weak willed man he is told me everything, about how she had been bitten by a snake but she didn't die but instead became entirely dependent on him and since his only income was being a mercenary he was always travelling, so in the end he just decided to smother her and told the village that the snake bite killed her. My face fell as I listened, then I asked my second question of why he sold the home and not given it to me. He simply said "Because I needed the money." As I listened I couldn't help but want to end ether my life or this wicked mans'. But as he sat there and as the caravan passed, I pulled out my blacksmithing hammer. Now when my mentor made this hammer he made sure there was more weight in the middle so I could get a better swing at more impact from it, boy was he right. As I swung my hammer against my "Fathers" head I heard the metal bend and skull crack as it made impact. But mistakingly, I forgot about the caravan and the 9 other armed guards on the other side of the brush. So as a tear fell across my face I looked through my dads pockets as quickly as I could, only finding a few gold pieces and a parchment, then I made a hasty get away out of the dense forest. Then once I had untied my horse I heard a guard scream out from inside the overgrowth "BANDITS!" I knew there were no bandits, just me and my now dead father.
As I rode away I knew I no longer could stay within this disgusting place, and just as before I continued making my way towards a dock city it was time for me to move on there was nothing left on the mainland for me.

It took me only a few days riding hard to get to a city with a harbor, and from there I managed to get a ride to Elpida on a trade boat. Whilst sitting in the lower deck I remembered my dads parchment, thinking it was just a bounty or contract of some sort I just opened it up carelessley accidently getting some blood on it from my hand, it began with "Dear son," my immediate thought was that this was gonna be his will or some malarky, but as I read deeper into it, it was acutally an apology letter from him to me and it described my mother and her condition far better than how he had decribed it, it told the entire story. After finishing through it at the bottom it read "I love you son, and I'm sorry. Love Dad." The tears formed in my eyes as I realized not only was my dad innocent, but what he did was a good thing. He put my mother out of her misery and was actually working for enough gold to pay my mentor for teaching me as well as paying off my hammer. What struck me now was a sense of guilt, as I realized that I truly killed and innocent man, a good man, a caring man. Then I knew that not only must I get away from the mainlands, I have to get away from the mainlands.
Once I arrived in Elpida I began working as a dockhand, helping ships unload and reload their supplies, I never had anywhere to truly stay or setup shop so after I earned enough money from working the docks I bought a tent and began a nomad lifestyle of wandering around Elpida. I hope to soon find somewhere to settle down so that I may begin my redemption in the eyes of Legaros or that I can get justie for my own crimes in someway or another.

Sorry for the long read, I tried to shorten it as much as I could from the original version. Feedback appreciated! Thanks!:)

1/25/19 - Currently rewriting this because I want to broaden the characters horizons and give a bit more character.

    Very nice bio!
I must say it had a really nice plot twist that i wasn't expecting. You didn't write in paragraphs so it was a bit confusing but I fixed it for you.
Also there was no need to shorten it, I like reading long stories.

Welcome to the community! A long bio is not a bad bio, and the shortened one is good either way.

Who cares about spelling? As long as people can understand you you're fine.

It's not so much that I want other people to unerstand it as it is that I feel like I could've made it better. :)

Though really, yea, it isn't that important.
