His parents were well off enough, and ran a successful shop in the village. His Grandfather was the leader of the village, and it is because of him that Iskios developed an appreciation for politics. He had some formal schooling, such as learning to read and write, but hung around his family's shop a lot as a child. His world was turned upside down when he was 7, and a group of bandits who had been preying on towns in the area came to his village. They burned it to the ground, killing all the inhabitants. Iskios and his father survived since they were away on a short trip when the attack happened. Iskios and his father spent the next few years roaming around, trying to find work and a place to live. In 2392S, they settled in the outskirts of a small city and his father opened a new shop. However, this peaceful life couldn't last, and the city's leader, who was deeply prejudiced against foreigners, had Iskios's father arrested and charged for several crimes. His father told him to run far away, and so he did. Over the next few years, Iskios moved from place to place, developing his skill as a blacksmith and warrior, especially in a tournament, in which he won his warhammer. After an apprenticeship on the Mainland's coast, Iskios decided to try his luck in a place away from the memories of his family, and moved to Elpida.
