Story Paragraphs: Alistaire was born on the Mainland to a poor father and mother, who died during childbirth. They were farmers, and around a month after my birth my birth father got very ill and before dying he took me to a wealthier family who he knew very well and left me with them to watch over. Due to them knowing my father well, they took it upon them to take me in and as a result adopted me as their third child (my two other siblings being: Klaus, my older brother who is a warrior, and my younger sister Esmeralda). As I was growing up, I was always trying to be involved with politics and scholarly subjects, considering that my adopted father was involved in politics and philosophy himself. Along with this our family friend, Alec, who was a strong warrior trained me in swordsmanship to know how to defend myself and my family, even though there was no concern of danger on the Mainland. He believed it was important that every young man knew how to defend his family. My mother nurtured my artistic side with wine making and sculpture subjects, of which I am now very fond of. Life goes on and is all and well until my father takes a turn for the worse and falls ill and eventually passed away after a few weeks. In order to keep my family thriving and healthy, I made it a dedication of my mine to venture out in search of wealth and prosperity in Elpida; whether that be in politics/scholarly subjects or mercenary work, I plan to prosper in reputation and earn a living to eventually bring my family here and care for them.
