He watched as his family fought against the barbarians and brothers alike within a war-torn empire. From his farther, he learned the sword from a young age and continued to do so until he turned 18. While his mother taught him the wonders of Alchemy. The magic of medicines and herbs and the wonderous effects they bring upon the body drove him to study greatly. He now assists his mother growing herbs, and acts as an assistant when she concocts potions. After his first successful alchemical concoction was made without assistance, his Mother gifted him a leather backpack that held many vials for him to store his concoctions in. On his 12th brithday he presented a boar he hunted himself to his family and other followers of the mighty Ignarus. He long prayed the the Red God when his Father and Uncle were conscripted into the army during the barbaric campaign. And until the very end of the civil war, and the assassination of Emperor Claudius, did his prayers protect his loved ones. The Lafi of today has changed graetly from the young boy who learned about herbs from his mother. Alone as he wanders the streets, he overheard some drunk war veterans talk of a new land, Insulera. With a quick exchange of a drink and some tall tales, Lafi came to know of the wonders of Elpida and his desire to travel has been bruning since. One Particular tale the drunkards mentioned was of a Potions and Ailments building, or PaB as they called it, which was a wonderous building, first of its kind. Housing all kinds of potions and healing serums, his curiosity was almost unquantifiable. He looks upon the clouds in the sky, as he remembers his Father, Mother and Uncles who now feast with the Red God. And on that same name, does he promise to make them proud as he grows into a man of Ignarus.
