When he was very young he took a liking to crafting. Constantly learning from various traders he learned the ways of the artisan. He decided to dedicate his life to becoming an artisan. He turned out to be a famous potion master of the mainland, who lived in a merchant town very close by. Before the potion master could continue, the bandits had been alarmed and had realized that the potion master had escaped. The potion master quickly opened his pouch and threw a bottle of liquid with a strong green hue, the bandits were blinded and poisoned. The potion master and Evgenis managed to escape. Once the potion master and Evgenis returned to the merchant town, the potion master explained that his name was Maeglin the crazed. He was seen as the eccentric sort, and therefore mostly left alone. His only companion - his steed. The potion master had a proposition whether Evgenis wanted to be his apprentice. Evgenis eagerly accepted. Evgenis's intensive training had begun. He would train from sunrise to sunset everyday. Whenever he wasn't training, he would try and befriend Maeglin's beloved companion - Starflare. Every so often, Maeglin would ask Evgenis to run to the market to buy ingredients of some sort. On one such occasion, Evgenis had taken his secret bow. After buying ingredients, he asked one of the merchants about this bow. The merchant told him about the legend of Lessian, an archer who would fight for righteousness and justice. He would use the very same bow to apprehend criminals and bring peace and harmony to the mainland. On his way back from the market, he arrived at Maeglin's home to discover that someone had broken in and Starflare was missing. He rushed in, with bow armed; as he entered, he saw Maeglin crippled on the floor, his work scattered. Evgenis was shocked and vowed to bring his enemy to justice. Evgenis had a duty to restore his master's pride; he would not allow such an enemy to prevent his potion master from ever creating another potion again and stealing his only companion, Starflare. He scoured the villages ahead, looking for clues to the location of his new enemy. However, he could not find any leads, as he approached the final village, a fishing village, where there could be a chance of a lead, He approached the inn, as a mysterious figure left swiftly. Evgenis decided to follow him stealthily. The figure had a boat nearby. Evgenis, knew he had to follow, the boat was heading in the direction of the island, Elpida. Evgenis managed to procure some money from his master and buy a boat trip to the strange island of Elpida, where many bizarre myths began. Evgenis prayed to Aestheria for protection against the unknown that lied ahead of him.
