Story: Emmanuel was from the western inlands of the Mainland, surrounded by large forests mountains and wilderness was the setting of the small town of Shilber, which was the birthplace of Emmanuel as well as the three generations before him. The town being relatively small, consisting of only about 300 people every family had a role to play, the majority of the town consisted of farms, blacksmiths or builders. Manny’s family the Oatsley’s were hunters who regularly went out into the large wilderness to gather large quantities of meat. In his family there were his 2 older brothers and sister, his father and mother. Manny’s family wasn’t the only hunting family as there were 3 others: the Janices, Shelbies and Bomberlies. It was on one of these crucial hunts which his world was turned upside down, being the youngest (only 13 at the time) in his family he duo hunted with his father while his 2 older brother went off with each other. Several hours into their hunt long after the sun had set they came across a wolf pack, both of them stayed silent waiting for them to pass. But something was off, one wolf was larger than the rest and was looking right at them. Then it stood up. On two legs it charged for them, Emmanuel’s father ordered him to climb a large tree close by. His final deed was ushering his son to safety before being torn apart by the werewolf. Once bored of its chew toy the monster circled the tree Manny was hiding in bumping it testing its stability, it soon gave up and left with the rest of the pack fleeing on two legs. Traumatized and terrified Manny stayed in the tree until way into the morning not getting a wink of sleep, with his father’s bloody remains lay below. After finally returning home and informing the townspeople of the attack, they dismissed it as being a child’s little game but when the father did not attend the town meeting a mob set out into the woods and returned with his body and the head of a wolf, but it was not the werewolf. From that day Emmanuel swore to hunt the beast down himself and any others along the way.

Years later about 4, Manny had quit being a hunter and instead took up being a butcher preparing and selling all the meat that his older brothers who were still hunters brought in. This was his day job, by the cover of night armed with a powerful crossbow, wolfbane poison and silver tipped arrows he set off attempting to hunt beasts of the night. He never did find the werewolf that killed his father and finding and locating these cryptids was no easy feat and he found little success. His town caught on to his little hobby and ridiculed him for it, wasting time and resources to hunt after creatures which only existed in children’s story books. But this didn’t stop the flame had already been blazing for years, instead he answered contracts from other neighbouring towns eliminating threats from werewolves, zombies, giant spiders and these strange humanoid creatures known only as creepers. He got paid handsomely for these contracts. Upon returning to his town from these quests he was met with scorn from his remaining family. Consisting of only his siblings now after his mother game ended herself from grief. Being out of business as no one visited his butcher shop anymore he was cast out of his town. With the money he had saved from his contracts he bought a ticket to Elpida to start a new life, welcoming whatever came his way.
