Her family was known to contribute towards diplomatic relations between Patraeia and other territories, though not to any huge impacting degrees. They would manage the import and export of goods on behalf of higher ranking diplomats. Within her family, it was customary to learn about the diplomacy of the country from a young age, just right after they have been taught to read and comprehend language. Lucina was no exception to this. She was taught to read at age 7, understood the language to a fluently at age 10 and right after that, was met with having to learn all the diplomacy tasked to her family. However, at age 13, her diplomatic lifestyle took a turn for the worse. This is because Lucina was not the only child. She had a younger sister, who happened to be a diplomatic prodigy. She excelled in the arts of language and within many areas of diplomacy, in areas that Lucina herself could not even start to comprehend. Because of this, her family decided to focus more of their attention towards the younger sibling. All the love, attention and praise were not spared for Lucina at all. Being left out from it all, she told her parents how she felt about the situation and made a request. A request to start her life anew. A compromise between herself and her parents. Ever since she heard of rumours about Elpida, she had always wanted to travel there. Somewhere far away from what she had grown to know as a suffocating family. She negotiated with her parents to give her a sum of money to start afresh in Elpida in exchange of allowing her parents to completely cut ties with her, and they agreed. At age 15, they stripped Lucina of her family name, gave her money and tools before sending her away to Elpida. When she arrived, she was met with a female mercenary. She would not recognise this hunter at first but would soon come to realize that she used to be someone hired by her parents to protect her little sister and to escort her to various locations of diplomacy. As a favour to her younger sister, she vowed to protect Lucina and to train her in the arts of hunting and survival. As they stayed together within the forest outskirts of Elpida, Lucina honed her skills in survival and hunting. After learning all she could from the older mercenary, she was given a bow made of the blackest wood as a gift. A bow she would soon use in any hunt or job she would ever take. She would then be known around as the Blackwood Archer. A mercenary who excels in jobs of hunting down animals, tracking and occasionally, assassination. Till this day, she still lives with the other mercenary, who she now calls an older sister. They have lived together ever since and have worked together to live a peaceful yet, meaningful life.
