His father worked as a doctor, helping those with ilnesses. Zenarus’ mother was a pianist performer and piano teacher. Baby Zenarus found a liking to often run before learning to walk. Making mistakes this way allowed Zenarus to learn how to plan and think before executing but this often has many risks. Zenarus started learning mathematics before covering the basics and ended up having to start from square one before he could return to where he began. Both his parents were quite strict with him and made sure that his discipline was top notch. It was, but it took a few years of practice. Both his mother and father made sure that Zenarus knew what was right and what was wrong. This taught Zenarus how to make choices for himself. Young in age, 5 year old Zenarus had already found his interests in drawing and music. His dad had only drawn a pirate boat as an example for him and he picked it up from there, taking tips and methods to become a better artist every time he drew. There were times people could not believe what he drew to the young age he was. His dad had owned a set of congas for a while and Zenarus sneaked into his room to try them once. He was caught playing the instrument by his dad but saw the musical talent Zenarus had and let him have it as a gift. Zenarus learnt how to play them well. He also picked up piano along the way. It was a deja vu except it was his mother who caught him and then taught him how to play it right. Zenarus learnt the piano to some extent. He was good but not professional. During his early and mid-teens, Zenarus had a surprising ability to learn faster than others, often placing him top of class in mostly mathematical and science subjects, except for Drama, as Zenarus finds out that he hates to act. He also disliked having to talk to people when he didn’t want to. Not that he rejected them as soon as they came up to him to talk, but rather out of fear of rejection. Isolation was quite a good friend to him and never left his side. This gave Zenarus much time to himself and spent it all on studying and / or doing his favourite hobbies. This made Zenarus quite humble and daydreaming often resulted him being in his own imaginary world. Only at 14, Zenarus was diagnosed with a social impairment condition. Although this was serious news to his parents. He did not care one bit as he had already developed some independence from not asking for help from anyone, apart from his parents at times. Although he has a strong learning ability, he is quite shy and silent around others. But on the good side, Zenarus is quite polite and willing to help others when possible, even though he does not talk often. It’s a trade-off in good and bad aspects. A year later, 15 year-old Zenarus had already finished college 2 years early for his age and already knew what he wanted to be. A doctor. But, the education to learn it was expensive. Zenarus couldn’t rely on his parents to help him pay for his education. Zenarus had planned to leave soon to go to a prosperous land called Elipida, a land which he had only heard a few days ago. Reason Zenarus left to Elipida: Already having studied architecture, mathematics and some very basic physics in Oakland Springs, Zenarus was a part time architect so he could earn money by designing people’s homes for them efficiently. He was good at designs and modern art, but when it came to talking to his customers, it was that he was terrible. Stuttering nervously at times and having mental blanks even for a bright teen often made his customers laugh in a polite way. Zenarus knew being one of the first few citizens at Elipida would give him good opportunities to design houses for the new people who would arrive there too as citizens. He would gain experience before most of those who would come after. Not only that, Zenarus dreams of becoming a worldwide known architect and doctor (when he finishes studying it) but also hopes that no one will question or talk to him when he does. XD When it would be time for Zenarus to return home, he would have built a larger house for his family. A whole library room for his dad who loves to study, and a huge kitchen for his cookaholic mother. He would present their new home as a gift for them being his parents, who took care, gave support and loved Zenarus all these years. Until then, Zenarus travels to this new land where he will learn, grow, see all the inventions and modern technology, explore the lands, help those in need and maybe make friends if he can overcome his social anxiety and fear.
Welcome to the server! This is a very good bio. It's certainly long enough and it reads very well. However it feels a bit to modern. Keep in mind our roleplay is set in ancient roman/greek technology, around 1 BC irl. So there aren't really things like advanced mathematics, physics or modern architecture. In the beginning "physiotherapist" and "manager at the same clinic" also seem a bit to modern. If you could make this bio a bit more period appropriate then i'll have no problem approving it.
Hello! Thanks for the feedback. I have changed a few things regarding your comments written back to my bio. I have changed the "physiotherapist" as it was not a common practice until the 1800's. I have also changed the status of Zenarus' mother to a pianist and a piano teacher. However, concerning "modern architecture" he meant the *architecture at the time.* Not like real life modern architecture in 2019. I also want to note that if the story is really set in 1BC, physics would have been a basic thing as it was written and published by Aristotle in 4BC (3 years before story setting). Same with mathematics as it was also a very old subject but not too advanced at the time so hence... (i did change from "advanced mathematics" to just "mathematics. I impatiently await approval with excitement
Nice! One small thing remains though: could you remove the helicopter drawing part? Maybe you could replace it with a drawing of a tree or the moon or something?
