Signature Item (s): The first sword and only sword he ever owned was given to him by the town guard after he finished basic training. it was basic and mass produced. he however honed his skill with his magnificent sword, he finally named it "Steel Dragon" after successfully stopping a bank robbery against an armed assailant in a duel.

Backstory:
Ash was born into the small mining town Australsia to a single father who worked in the mines, the small family was not well off but did not struggle for food. he was often left alone during the day, he entertained himself by watching the guards on patrol, exploring the nearby forest and reading old history books his father kept.

At the age of ten a guard took special interest in young Ash and began training him in the ways of the sword and bow, he took great interest in the ways of battle and started to study ancient war grounds and small skirmishes. Each day he grew stronger and more skilled with his practice sword, and more precise with his bow, he soon learnt he was proficient in a short sword and even a battle axe, his new instructor then moved him in to learning with a shield for defence, something he enjoyed.

Unluckily at the age of fourteen his father made him work in the mines like him, he no longer had no free time to practice his sword skills, no time for the art of war. Australsia had a strict mining policy, each worker needed to mine a certain amount of steel and coal to be release from duty. With no free time, Ash poured all his energy on freeing himself from the dreaded mines, at the age of sixteen, he worked his payment off and when he was released where he immediately joined the guard. He sought out his old instructor but later learned he had died in a bandit raid, fuelled with despair he drove through the ranks to become the highest ranked guard in honour of his mentor.

One early morning while Ash was on patrol, he noticed a disturbance at the bank, drawing his shield and sword. he crept up to investigate. Looking through the broken door he noticed the only teller held at sword point while he robbed the towns funds. Ash charged in, slamming into the offender with his shield knocking him down to the floor, swinging his sword down into the floor implanting it next to the robbers head. suddenly he was on the ground another man was on top of him, a dagger glinted in the early sun, he slammed his helmet into the assailants hand out of desperation, the dagger grazed over his helmet, taking the opportunity he shoved the man off him and backed up, armed only with his shield and out numbered, he went on the defence, both of the men slowly advanced while the teller fled outside to call for help. the man with dagger lunged suddenly at Ash, he quickly slammed his shield into the man, flinging him to the floor, the other assailant went to grapple, Ash jumped back, pivoting on his feet. The man try'd again, Ash quickly grabbed him and spun him towards the door, kicking him in the back the knee bringing them both to the ground. For good measure he slammed the shields into both of their heads knocking them out.

For his act of bravery, he was awarded a large sum of money and received his promotion to Guard officer, one of the highest ranks.

Soon after he was contacted by the Elpida Militia to join a group of guards on a ship to the new land, to protect its citizens on their travels.
Ash wishes to take this opportunity to start new and follow his true passion of history.
