Arachadonic's Character Bio Full Name: Lucius Velius Vulso Nickname(s): Commonly called Vulso Gender: Male Age: 35 Date of birth: October 5th, 2370S Place of birth: A small village that existed in the mainland. Current residence: A modest town-house in Elpida. Job: Inn-keeper Interests and hobbies:Politics, charity, fishing, reading and writing. Religious Belief: Worship's Legaros but has a good respect for Marventa and Aestheria. Signature Item (s): A ruby ring: Worth but a few coins on the market, it is priceless to Lucius. Originally used by his father to propose to his mother, it is a ring that carries a lot of meaning. A deep, rich, blood-red ruby atop a silver and cold band. It is reminiscent of that night. Lucius keeps it in a locked box under his bed as while he cannot bring himself to get rid of it, he cannot bear to look at it. Fields of gold and emerald brilliance as far as the eye could see, separated only by specks of red as though the Gods themselves had taken up a paintbrush and sprayed red paint among the fields. Oh what I would have done for it to have been simply paint. I later found out it was rather the blood of my friends, family and fellow townsfolk that was shed and scattered among the crops by barbarians. The year was 2374S and I, Lucius Velius Vulso, was a mere boy at 4 years of age. Found underneath an overturned cart still clutching the cold hand of my dead mother, my aunt quickly ushered me out and up onto their wagon. I just had time to grab my mother’s ring before I departed and left my old life behind. At the time I had no real understanding of the significance of what had just happened or how my life would be changed forever. All I knew was that my parents and those closest to me were no more and I had to go with aunt and her family to their village a couple miles over. Only when I turned 10 did my aunt let me know the details of that faithful day. Needless to say it had a profound effect on me. I suddenly felt as though I had purpose in life, and that was to ensure that the traumatic and vulgar act perpetrated against my village would never happen again. Thus I began to look towards those in charge, those with the power to make change and protect people from falling for the same fate as my parents and family. Alas from the failure of the senate when it was first established to Senator Pertentus questionable actions in securing an expedition to Insulera and his mysterious death, the political landscape in Patraeia is a fragile one. With this in mind, over the years I vowed that my life goal would be to make a difference for the people of Patraeia. So, fast forward several years and I am now the proud owner of an inn in a small village much like the one I grew up in which I was able to buy out of savings left by my aunt when she passed and some manual work I had done across several local farms. My inn functioned as both an inn but also a hostel of sorts. If there was any people passing through or locals who couldn’t afford a room or anywhere else to stay, I would put them up for free or if they had any skills or talents that could be of use. The amount of gold in your purse shouldn’t determine if you can eat tonight or not. Life with my inn, named “The Three Footed Goat” after a silly goat we used to have on the farm with my aunt, was pretty simple but I still felt like something was missing. So after hearing about Elpida and many of the issues there like the movement ban that was in place, questionable use of resources and the most recent death of Senator Pertentus, I decided that perhaps I would be able to have more of an effect and reach on the denziens of that fair isle instead of the mainland. I sold my inn and got enough gold to secure safe passage to the Port of Pertentus and the next chapter of my story begun.
@Arachadonic I am surprised no one has responded to this considering it has been here for a few days. @Alir99 Will be able to get back to you on this soon!
Sorry for the delay Very nice bio. You've clearly researched the lore. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Contact @tcvs for your prototype badge and server access. Best of luck!
One of the better (If not the best) bio I've read on here. Has good lore, and the writing is fantastic. I know I'm a bit late to responding, but as I've said before, I tend to check every once in a while and respond to posts in a big wave. Welcome to the community, and I hope to see you during the 2nd Prototype test!
