Full Name: Servarius Strafen Nickname(s): Servarius, Servarius the Tragic Child Gender: Male Age: 18 Date of birth: January 1st, 2387S Place of birth: Mainland Current residence: Cheap and poor quality inn. Job: Merchant Interests and hobbies: Exploring, earning money. Religious Belief: Phaedron Signature Item (s): "Strade", a sword from my father and acts as the last memory of my family. Hey there, I'm Servarius and I was born on January 1st 2387S in Mainland. I was part of a somewhat wealthy family and had a happy life. My parents always wanted the best for me as I was their only child. During my childhood, I didn't know what my future held for me, and I didn't care at all. My parents would spoil me very often with cheese and barley. I enjoyed living with my parents and took them for granted. One day, a group of thieves went to our home looking for quick money. My parents, afraid for their child, gave me some money and hid me in the basement. The thieves weren't satisfied with what my parents gave them and stabbed them multiple times as I crept up and peeked to see how they were. When they left, I ran up to my parents and cried like I never cried before. My father looked at me with a tear on his eye and said weakly "I wanted to see you grow up and explore the world. I'm sorry... Servarius..." and he closed his eyes slowly. After that tragedy, I decided I will avenge my father. I went to local taverns and try to get some information for many years. I wasn't successful at all and would always come home to a poorly built stable depressed. One day, I heard crucial information, rumors of a alleged group of thieves becoming nobles. I knew I had to find these nobles and face them someday. I went home excitedly over the idea of avenging my parents after years. I grabbed the dagger I had bought with the money my father gave me before his tragic end. After gathering all the information I needed, I needed to plan a way to attack them, as killing nobles was a huge crime. I planned carefully and decided to lure them out at night with a forged letter from a well known aristocrat and murder them there. I also needed money first to live my life somewhere else in case I was figured out. It was the night of the attack, my hands were covered in fresh blood. I cried in happiness and thanked Phaedron, the god I believed in. I layed down on the puddle of blood and looked up to the sky. I turned my head to the right and noticed there was a sword, with the words Strafen inscribed near the tip of the sword. I got up and went towards the sword, reaching to grab it. I suddenly heard people yelling and running towards my way, I ran far away from sight, without grabbing the sword. I soon realized that the sword was my father's sword named "Strade". I looked down in regret and snuck back home. I have forgotten much about last night, including the sword. I didn't want to remember it for some reason it seemed. I used all my money to go to Elpida, remembering my father's last words for me to explore the world. Only a few people from Mainland knew who I was, and named me Servarius the Tragic Child. They believe I went to Elpida to run away from the past, unaware of the real reason. This was my story, a story about a tragic beginning and a peaceful end. The story of Servarius, the Tragic Child.
Nice bio! Just like mine, there are some creepy parts. A quick question and suggestion: When you said your parents were 'slaughtered'. Slaughtered means something is killed, so your characters father couldn't have spoken to him. Maybe try changing it to stabbed or something similar. Other than that I have no issues with it. Let me know when you've improved it.
Alright! Thanks for the feedback I also have a question does the bio affect anything on the server gameplay wise or story wise?
like does our story in Minecraft Frontiers change depending on our bio? something like this confuses me "Every character is allowed to have one signature item. You will not have this with you when you arrive, but we allow you to set it up in your story. Who knows, we might surprise you one day!"
Yeah so basically you are the one who determines the story of your character, using your bio. So what you write in your bio determines how your story and life in Elpida will start off and begin. Then it is up to you to pick up where your bio ended and continue the story you've written when you're playing on the server. So to summarise the bio is there to provide a background of your character for yourself and for us. However how you choose to play on the server might be a bit different from your bio, but it will determine your present story. Take my character for example. My character was meant to be a bodyguard for the Senate. However, since there is not a lot of people working in the Senate, I was not needed, so I occupied myself with another job. You are expected to follow your bio while playing, so you can't say you'll be a farmer and then suddenly change into a assassin, but my point is it might change a bit. I'm sorry if I didn't explain that very well. Ask more questions if you are still confused. Regarding your signature item, it may be given to you later as a sort of reward. We want you to have an item so 1) We know how to reward you and 2) So you have some sort of reminder from your past. When and if we give it to you, it will not have God-like properties as that would give you a unfair advantage over the rest, but it would be like a souvenir or unique prize for you. Btw your bio is approved, so contact @tcvs for server access and your prototype badge. Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck!
Hi Servarius, nice work on the bio. Nice to see more people interested in the project We view the biographies as "character creation". In other words, it tells us what your character will be like in the game. It also gives us good sense of what players are interested in. There are two purposes to the biography: To help us address any issues early on. If you want to play a character mass murdering everyone, we see this and can warn you early on. It is our goal to make sure players have fun. Biographies help us make sure everyone is on the same page. To let you personalise the experience in the future. As we expand and add new features, we will be able to do this more. We hope to make this project a playground for the community. At times, we may look at these biographies and add lore or gameplay to support what your players want. If 10 players write they were originally part of a trade empire in the Mainland, we may write lore for that. Currently, the biography only influences your in-game name. In the future, it may influence things such as: Getting your signature item in-game. Seeing parts of the biography in libraries around the island. Talking to NPCs that know parts of your past. Events happening may be influenced by your biography. Some of these are rewards for donating - but they may also be awarded if a player contributes to the project substantially.
Nice Bio. Pretty detailed, and the signature item's probably a bit easier to give than mine... Looking forward to seeing you in Phase 2
