    ~~Biography~~
Cristopher Joel Vernandos was born on July 31st, 2362S, upon Marventa's Delight, a ship specifically for luxury and entertainment. He was born to Joel and Aurelia Vernandos, one a captain of a small fleet used in trading and privateering, and the other an author and activist, both respectable figures of their trades.

Cristopher has never really settled in anyone spot for too long in his life, the only exception being Ortisia in his early years. Though this would only collectively be for three to four months at a time due to either of his parents's work. They insisted that he tag-along.

Though Cristopher had four older siblings, the closest in age to him was twelve years older, who was under the apprenticeship of a scribe, so he was seldom seen. Everyone was so busy, they didn't have a lot of time for him. Unchecked, Cristopher poked his nose into everything.. including things he probably shouldn't. His teacher and playmate was the big world around him. Taverns, caves, markets, forests, libraries, and forums, you name it. His interest was not only the locations themselves, but the people he could find there. Cristopher often went unnoticed in his ventures but it became increasingly easier to talk and make friends with the locals. It wouldn't matter too much though, he'd have to go away in a week, maybe a month.

One man, though, would put his life on a different path.

He had heard him playing a beautiful melody; standing in a small gazebo overlooking the ocean. He sat down and looked on, mesmerized by the music. After the older man came to a soft finish he turned on his heel and bowed. Cristopher commended the man for his skill, than thought for a second. Then his face lit up and he ran up and clasped the man's hands, begging for him to teach him. Laughing, he agreed, but only if Cristopher could somehow find a violin lying about. Sure enough, that next morning, Cristopher came back with one he had "borrowed".

So the man taught him best he could, and every day Cristopher would come back, hungry to learn more. Cristopher had made staggering progress in those few weeks and together the two played that same piece he had heard when they met, in total harmony. As soon as they had finished Cristopher ran over and squeezed the man as tight as he could, violin and bow still in hand. He would have to leave for Ortisia the next day. The man returned the hug. He said he'd taught him well enough and he was proud of his progression. It was a somber goodbye.

For the next year he took the world by storm with his violin, in taverns, parks, and even balls. Eventually, his father took initiative for his skill, and for his thirteenth birthday he received his very own, not-stolen, violin. It was breathtaking to him and sounded even better than the one he had taken. He continued to play, happier than ever, until he caught the eye of a small group of bards playing for a night at a pub. When the song began to pick up Cristopher came out of nowhere melding in with the flute, lutes, and drums filling the air with music. After the song had finished even the band of bards had clapped in respect for Cris, afterwards one of the lute players, the lead he thought, took him aside. He offered Cris a chance to be part of his group, sure he might be a little young and it wasn't the best idea, but it was still on the table. The next day their wagon would be leaving for the next city, he until then to decide. It wasn't a hard choice for Cris, the next morning Cristopher left a letter on the bedside drawer of his parents' room. It told him of his decision and that he promised to write back as often as possible.

For the next ten years, the Band of Merry Men, were a welcome sight to all. Cristopher was content, he had finally found his place in life, at least for awhile. Like all bands, the members have problems. The flutist had a gambling problem, the lutist kept hogging the attention, and the drummer had arthritis in his elbows.
The breaking point came one fateful night.

The bards rested up in a tavern room they had rented for the night. It was late in the night and everyone was sound asleep. Suddenly the doors was busted to splinters and merry men were tossed from their covers. A scuffle ensued ending with a splintered lute, a broken chair, and a busted drum pinning one of the attackers's arms to his torso. After the confusion began to die down they realized who they had came for. The flutist had gotten careless with where he was throwing around his money. A heated argument began and old wounds were torn open. By the end of the night, disgruntled neighbors and every member of the Band of Merry Men; all except for Cristopher, laying broken like the rubble around him wondering what exactly happened. Well he knew exactly what happened, the question was, what now?

Then in the darkness an idea dawned on him. There was a place, far away in the middle of the ocean, he had heard rumors of it, even dreamed of it at night. There was no better opportunity then now to go...

Perhaps Insulera was in need of Musical Enlightenment.

aaaaand done, I CANNOT believe it. Not as organized or elaborate as I'd like, but I'll make adjustments at a later date, for now it meets the requirements. Can't wait to see you all in game tomorrow!
