@Tomas @tcvs @hastearms I'd just like to ask this as it would help me know if it will be possible to have the 2 skins 1.8 feature which would be pretty helpful for my character. Just wanted to double check as I know you've been in progress with this server for at least a year now which could mean that your still on 1.7+ as it would have meant that you would have had to recode all your plugins quite a few times during all the updates that have happened.
We decided a long time ago that we would do our best to keep up with the Minecraft versions. Even if it slows down our development, it is something we feel is very important. The main point of this project is being accessible to everyone - so we require minimal downloads, no special clients, little roleplay experience. As a result, we are currently running the latest Minecraft version.
@Draconis What will slow us down the most will be waiting for spigot to update whenever there is a new release. Once that happens most of our systems are easily updated.
This update will go way faster than 1.8, because we (spigot community) will have an official server to test 1.9 (we have been working on it for a month or two). Minecraft 1.9 Roadmap.
I don't work for Spigot, @Cldfire does though. I am only a SpigotMC artist because I made MINECON art.
