Ketinus was born in to an upper middle class family on the Mainland in 2381S. His father was a respected craftsman and architect, who worked day and night, on his extravagant blueprints instead of spending time with his family, much to their dismay. He often thought of Ketinus as a failure, and could never achieve what he had. His mother was a tailor and spent most of her time taking care of Ketinus. Ketinus valued his education and the smaller things in life, and was a very particular person. He liked to draw and make clay models of his future projects and looked up to his father, who even though didn't spend time with him often, still inspired him to become an architect in the future. He was a secluded person, mostly spent time with a select few people and appreciated alone-time. Ketinus returned from his studies at the forum one day to his home, and the crowd gathered outside. He enter his abode, to find his father laying on a bed with at least five doctors by his side, caring for him. His mother recanted the story, saying how a bandit had infiltrated the home and stabbed his father while taking the family jewels. His father did not survive the attack, and before dying later that evening, he gave Ketinus his Quartz shard, from the mines of Karoc. Ketinus would learn to be loyal to the law, helping the authorities whenever his could, with anything, to prevent another attack like the one on his father's from ever happening again. He followed in his father's footsteps, becoming an architect, and devoting his life to continuing his father's legacy by continuing with his projects so that his father would posthumously live as a legend in architecture. When Elpida was announced to the public, he seeked the opportunity, to both show the new world the beauty in architecture, and to prove to his father that he had made it somewhere in life, in a new world. He was sure that his architecture was to shock the world, but there is only one way to find out, and that is to travel to Elpida.
