In the year 2385S, Elpida’s center was created. This brought along the opportunity for business. The citizens found themselves in cherry spirits, so the first Elpidian Tavern was established. Treasure Hunters and adventurers gathered to share their stories. Many drank ale from the homeland, while a few decided to brew their own. By 2395S, there were several taverns, all of which established themselves as community hubs for the betterment of Elpida. They sought to lighten the mood of citizens and newcomers alike. In 2397S, the first caravan route allowed for more shipments and products to be accessed. So, Gallus Vatinius, a simple Tavern Keeper, decided to take the extra leap forward. His ingenuity and friendliness helped to create the Tavern’s Guild. He collected all known Tavern Keepers to establish the organization meant to welcome all who entered, allowing for Elpidian society to flourish. Shipments for mainland ale increased sevenfold, and the citizens had never been happier. After a few years, the traction this new organization had created reached Pertentus, so much so that he asked to become an honorary member.

This established a standard for all social endeavours, and the guild felt obligated to maintain the peace as best as they could. Thus, even today new settlers may be greeted kindly by taverns, and can always find a friend within.
