His parents were alchemists and he loved to watch them make all those amazing brews. In his younger years his parents thought it was too dangerous for him to help with the brewing, they just let him do small chores around the atelier. But he still had a lot of free time left so he got to spend a lot of time with his uncle, who was a politician. He liked to spend time with his uncle because he thought his job was really interesting and he tried to learn as much as possible. For his 11th birtday his parents gave him a pair of goggles and let him help with their work. After all those years of just doing boring chores and spending whole days with his uncle he was happy he finally got to help and became a greedy learner. For years he helped his parents and was taking notes on everything to study later. In the little free time he had left he used to take long walks, or go to their basement where he had made his own little brewing setup to try some new things. Sadly, he had no time left to spend with his uncle and quickly lost track of him. One day he came back from a long walk only to find his house in ashes. Appearantly his parents failed with their new experiment and blew up everything. He knew his parents were working on something big, and every time they were working on it he used to take a peak and make notes of what they did to figure out what they were doing. When he asked what they were making they always replied: "It's better if you don't know." He stil hadn't figured it out, but he knew this would be the perfect time to start a new life. Within the ruins of what once was his house he managed to find his notes, his parents life savings and his trusty pair of goggles. He knew he had to get out of there before people would start to ask questions so he bought a ticket for the first boat to Elpida, hoping to start a new life there.
