His father, the leader of the village, was a very minor noble and in reality they were just farmers with a title. For most of his childhood everything was perfect, helping his father in the fields one week, scrubbing pots in his mothers kitchen the next, and sitting in the evenings playing with the other children of the village, but around the time he turned 13, the crops started to diminish. No one knew why and soon they began to hunt to survive instead. From this point forward his father, Laodamas, would take him into the forest to the west and teach him how to shoot, skin, and preserve the meats from all of the forests inhabitants, some days it was elk, the next boar, and if they were lucky, a bear would rear its head. It grew harder and harder to supplement the crops with meat and by the time he was a man, nothing within a mile of the village would grow. Eventually, the villagers turned against their leader out of pure desperation and hardship. They killed Theodoros' mother and father, while he was out checking the nearby rabbit warrens, leaving him to fend for himself in the world. He was one of the few men of the village who could hunt so he did just that. after 6 years of tracking, butchering, and more using the techniques his father had taught his years prior, he finally decided to leave his home and find a new place to live, where he could return to his roots. Before leaving the now corrupt and forgettable village of his birth, he took it upon himself to exact revenge on the men who took the only people who mattered to him in his whole world. he found them lounging about the village hall, where his father used to fix the issues the village had and would counsel the members of his community. Theo slaughtered all of them. He took them by surprise as the first shot from his well worn bow pierced the brutes skull from behind before quickly dispathcing the other two with equally rage-filled shots. he buried the bodies in the woods before any of their families could find them. Theodoros sold his house and all of his unneeded possession to the villagers, gaining enough money to buy a horse and travel to the nearest city. There he learned of the colonial ventures to Elpida, and knew that he must go. He barely had enough money to pay for the transport, but he finally got aboard the ship and readied for his new life, his only true possessions on him.

For inspiration: How was he raised? Where did he learn to hunt? How did he track them down? Where was he when they were killing his parents?
